Guelph Symphony Orchestra

The GSO is a committed to offering affordable, accessible, innovative and high quality symphonic music for Guelph area residents; from young families and students, to the vibrant retired community. To celebrate our city's love of music and love and for all living creatures, members of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra will perform Saint Saens' charming Carnival of the Animals, in two free concerts, one at Guelph's Civic Museum, catering to young families and the other at a local retirement community. It was important for us to also reach out to older audiences, as many of our 1st generation of GSO supporters are now living in retirement communities or in assisted living, making it difficult for them to come to River Run Centre for our regular concerts. These performance will feature members of the orchestra and not one, but two piano parts; one played by our Artistic Director, Judith Yan and the other by the young and talented Guelph pianist (and GSO librarian), Morgan Melbourne. We ask for your support in mounting these concerts which will include the added cost of bringing a second piano to both locations.
