“I had no idea what was available, but through a friend’s suggestion, I contacted the PEI ACL.  I received all this wonderful and new information I didn’t even know about.  My son is doing things I never thought would be possible and it’s all because I reached out to PEI ACL and asked for help”.  Barb, mother of Jack.

We need to be able to increase our capacity with staff numbers to ensure all families on PEI have access to our program. We must be able to continue to offer the very important personal across the table contact for families, as well as long range transitional planning through ages and stages, for navigating the system, that allows us to do more proactive work. The connection and opportunity for networking and meeting other families who have walked a similar path, is essential.

For Giving Tuesday, give to the PEI ACL to give someone a future and help make stronger, more inclusive communities.

Here is how you can help:

Make a gift yourself. A donation of any amount helps!

Share our story. Watch our Facebook and Twitter leading up to and on December 1st. We will send a message and you can forward that message to your network.

Though it’s a small amount, this one gift could be a part of a big-picture shift in perceptions that has the potential to repaint the image of Canadian diversity.

We need the leadership, dedication and support of people like you who understand the value of inclusion in order to move into the bright and inclusive new future. Thank you for taking the time to help spread the word and support the PEI Association for Community Living.
