Help the Helpers Giving Tuesday Initiative

This year, the Victoria Film Festival’s initiative is to "help the helpers” in our great city. For every $200 donated during this initiative, we are paying it forward and donating ten film tickets to the selfless volunteers and staff at the Victoria Cool Aid Society and Pacifica Housing.

Tireless volunteers and staff are the backbone of any non-profit organization. In recognition of the tremendous impact the great people at these local charities have on the quality of life in Victoria, we want to give back to some of those who give the most to our community.

The Victoria Film Festival is a charitable arts and culture non-profit organization, offering our 21st festival on February 6th-15th, 2015. The VFF also provides year-round programming at the historic Vic Theatre, as well as outreach into local schools and the greater community. As a charitable organization, we rely on our dedicated base of over 220 active volunteers and the generous support of our donors to keep our programs and outreach going strong.

The Victoria Cool Aid Society, established in 1968, focuses on “creating accessible, affordable, and alternative housing programs and holistic health services” to the under-privileged and at risk community in Victoria. Find out more at
