Africa We Care

http://www.africawecare.org

Africa We Care is a charitable organisation based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 2001, and dedicated to the alleviation of the suffering in Africa. Africa is beset by myriads of seemingly intractable challenges, of which the most pernicious is health. In all human endeavours, health comes first. Hence at Africa We Care we have streamlined our operations to place health matters and considerations in Africa as our first priority in past two years. It is sad that in this day and age, many Africans - men, women, and especially, children routinely and needlessly die of the most easily preventable and curable of illnesses and diseases, like fever, headache, diarrhea, malaria, etc. One in 4 children still die before their first birthday; one in 5 women die in child-birth. The average life span of Africans is still miserably at 47 years. The ugly statistics could go on and on. Last year, Africa We Care acquired a run-down, ill-equipped medical clinic in Nigeria, with a view to renovating, revamping, and reequipping it. To this effect, Africa We Care has been able to acquire from donations a large quantity of medical (hospital) equipment, instruments, furnishings, and medicines, to load up 9 X 40-foot containers (sea cans) ready for shipment to Africa. Our clear and present challenge now is to raise the funds required to defray the freight costs of these sea cans to Africa. At the minimum, we need to raise about CA$30,000. No amount of donation is too small, and will be receipted (if desired) for income tax purposes, but will go a long way in helping us achieve our goal of CA$30,000. Moreover, your donation will make it possible for Africa We Care to accomplish its overall Mission: The Alleviation of The Suffering in Africa. Updates 2 10 hours ago This Christmas: Give the Gift of life; Give the Gift that goes on giving; Give the Gift on behalf of yourself, or loved one, or colleague; Give the Gift that makes a difference in the lives of others less fortunate. Our earnest and heartfelt appeal for financial support to enable us ship medical equipment and supplies to Africa, still remains present and urgent. Please help us to raise the estimated shipping cost of $30,000 by December 15, 2015. No amount of your donation is too small, but will go a long way towards the alleviation of suffering in Africa. And donate today! Thank you very kindly for your support, and for being a friend of Africa We Care!
