Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation

Skin cancer is preventable and yet the numbers in Canada continue to rise, with over 85,000 diagnoses each year. Skin cancer is the number one cancer killer of women aged 25 to 30 and the second most common cancer in young adults aged 15 to 34.

And while it is almost entirely preventable, neither the tragic statistics nor awareness and education around prevention and early detection have penetrated the public consciousness. We need to change that – we need to shift attitudes about that “healthy glow” and change behaviours to prevent a very preventable disease.

The Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation works to eradicate skin cancer in Canada through education, awareness, research and advocacy. Please join us this Giving Tuesday and give generously.
