Giving Tuesday Waterloo Region
GivingTuesday Waterloo Region will tap into community advocates, partners and leaders to encourage everyone to give what they can – whether it’s time, goods, or funds – on November 29, 2016. The more awareness is created, the more giving activity will take place. Our Region will rely on three ingredients to be successful:
1. People talking to people – Everyone is encouraged to advocate and promote Giving Tuesday Waterloo Region using their contacts and connections, particularly on social media. Posts, tweets/retweets with a single message, a single hashtag and a single purpose will bring the networks of many to one convenient giving platform. Remember to use the hashtags #StayGenerous and #GivingTuesdayWR
2. www.givingtuesdaywr.ca – You are currently browsing on the national GivingTuesday site. We recommend you also explore our local site: www.givingtuesdaywr.ca. If you are a charity or non-profit we recommend you also sign up on our local site so you receive maximum exposure.
3. A supportive community – Waterloo Region is truly a giving community. With more than 500,000 residents, there is a lot of charitable potential.
Join us on November 29th for Giving Fairs at Conestoga Mall and the Cambridge Centre to learn about the various charities and non-profits in your community!
