Lookout Emergency Aid Society

Donations are desperately needed.
Each year Lookout provides a gift, a stocking and a holiday meal for each person accessing our services. This way our tenants, shelter guests, drop in visitors and outreach clients get the opportunity to celebrate this time of year.
It is estimated that 1,800 vulnerable individuals will be at our community facilities this year at Christmas time compared 1,600 last year. To meet this need, we rely on generous donations from the whole community to make the holiday season special for each person we help. In doing so we hope to bring a little hope, joy and reflection to each person during the holiday season.
How you can help
Donate cash.
Your gift gives us the flexibility to purchase what we need, often filling gaps between what we have received from other donations. Cash donations are an ongoing and critical component to supporting people in need.
Donate gifts.
Corporate, organizational and individual donors are encouraged to drop off donations of New clothing, accessories, games, and small electronics which we then wrap and distribute on Christmas morning.
Donate food.
With 31 sites in operation throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley in 11 communities from the North Shore to Abbotsford, the need to provide that special dinner at Christmas is enormous. Please support us by saving up and donating to the Lookout Society at one of our locations in your community.
Donate your time.
Volunteers are essential support to the Lookout Society and the people we serve, last year 4,277 people volunteered with Lookout. To give back at Christmas volunteers sort and wrap presents, help decorate trees, deliver presents and serve meals on Christmas day. Volunteers help guests share the gift of Christmas through giving and sharing.
Thank you for being part of the solution to homelessness. You are supporting hope and celebration for our region's most vulnerable people.
