About Olds College

With over a century of experience behind us, Olds College continues to break the mold of education and create a premier hands-on learning environment for all of our students. We are proud to be one of Canada’s leading post-secondary institutions in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, land and environmental management, and continue to work together with our community and industry to empower our learners and develop rural communities.

Why Give to Olds College
Olds College still has the same values as we did when the doors of the Olds School of Agriculture and Home Economics first opened in 1913. Hands-on learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship are at the forefront of all of our centres of specialization. Olds College students are among the most hard-working, passionate and entrepreneurial students in the nation. Together, we can continue to offer students in all of our programs the facilities, tools and education they need to be successful in their studies, and more importantly, as they head into the work force.

Olds College’s multi-year fundraising campaign, beyond, will fund several infrastructure projects designed to take the campus and students beyond tomorrow, beyond expectations, and beyond the classroom.

"With the support of our industry partners, donors and supporters, Olds College graduates are exceptional individuals who go BEYOND our campus boundaries to make significant impacts in business, in their communities and in life. This is our greatest accomplishment as a learning institution."

Animal Health Education and Industry Training Centre
Through the expertise and dedication of our excellent staff and faculty, thousands of Olds College Animal Health Technology graduates have had the opportunity to go BEYOND their passion for animals.

Forty one years ago, the Olds College Animal Sciences building opened its doors to our first intake of 25 Animal Health Technology students.

Today we serve two diploma and three certificate programs with over 175 students, and program facilities are full year round. We also serve online students and high school dual credit students. Animal Health programming continues to grow in demand and all of our current programs are filled to capacity with wait lists.

Our Animal Sciences space needs to grow to accommodate the hundreds of applicants who are eager to make a difference in the lives of pets and the families that care for them.

With funds generated from the BEYOND campaign we will be able to expand this program.

Integrated Student Learning, Health and Wellness Commons

Student Health and Wellness has never been more crucial than in today’s environment. With the increasing demands on students time and resources, it is imperative that we look to find ways to help them handle the pressures of school, work, and living on their own for the first time.

The Integrated Student Learning, Health and Wellness Commons will increase and enhance the social engagement and learning spaces that our students require, while providing the essential wellness and mental health support services that our community and campus deserves.
