The Canadian Journalism Foundation
The Canadian Journalism Foundation (CJF) promotes excellence in journalism by celebrating outstanding journalistic achievement. Our signature events include an annual awards program featuring a must-attend annual industry gala where Canada's top newsmakers meet Canada's top news people. Through J-Talks, our popular speaker’s series, we facilitate dialogue among journalists, business people, academics and students about the role of the media in Canadian society and the ongoing challenges for media in the digital era. The foundation also supports journalism websites J-Source.ca (English) and ProjetJ.ca (French) and fosters opportunities for journalism education, training and research.
This Giving Tuesday, consider celebrating excellence in journalism together with the CJF through a donation to the Friends of Better Journalism initiative. Proceeds support programs that promote and celebrate journalistic excellence – including the annual CJF Awards; monthly CJF J-Talks, our speakers’ series exploring the future of Canadian journalism; the CJF Indigenous Journalism Fellowships, which foster better comprehension of Indigenous issues in Canada’s major media and community outlets; and research and professional development opportunities. We believe that as journalism goes, so goes democracy. Support better journalism - support the CJF.Donate now
