Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF)

If you’ve been touched by the joyous Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, please make a donation to provide cultural experiences that are (largely) free and open to the public every Spring.

Our mission is to: actively engage diverse communities through accessible arts and culture that celebrates the transcendent fragile beauty of the cherry blossom; and to sustain & renew Vancouver's cherry tree heritage.

When Vancouver's 43,000 cherry trees are in bloom and the Festival presents unifying community programs, everyone's spirits are uplifted and we're all so proud to be a part of the most beautiful city in the world and the Cherry Blossom Capital of Canada!

Your Giving Tuesday donations are crucial and extremely valuable to us in order to support free VCBF public programming, ensuring the celebration of Japan's gift of trees continues for generations to come. Free programming include Cherry Jam Downtown Concert, Spring Lights Illumination, Vancouver Sings One Song, Tree Talks & WalksBike the BlossomsHaiku InvitationalonlineNeighbourhood Mapsas well as the ticketed eventSakura Days Japan Fair. Proceeds from our only fundraiser, the Sakura Night Gala support the above Festival events and programs.

As a community innovator in our eleventh season, we are working passionately to leave a legacy spreading the celebration of the cherry blossom festival, which directly benefits 120,000 participants annually and puts smiles on the faces of many, many more.
