Vancouver Community College Foundation

Every student has a story...

Eric Mendoza was struggling when he came to VCC. He was bullied in high school. The bullying created a difficult learning environment and led to anxiety and depression. Fortunately, a school administrator intervened and helped, and Eric successfully completed high school and moved forward. Then, when his father passed away, Eric was grief stricken and once more had to push through health issues to achieve his learning goals. Last year, Eric made a commitment to VCC’s Career and Community Education program and as a result of his practicum, Eric was hired by his practicum host and went on to successfully complete his program.

Eric’s story is just one of many.

For over 50 years, VCC has provided individuals from every walk of life with education and training that is recognized and respected by employers across Metro Vancouver.
