It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of 2020. During a year when it seemed impossible to count on anything, the one thing we could all count on is nature. This Giving Tuesday we are launching our local Give to Nature campaign, hoping you might be able to give to nature, the way nature has given so much to us.
Our parks have been extremely well loved by members of our community these past few months. There is not enough that can be said about the positive physical and mental health benefits we all receive when getting out into nature and breathing in the fresh air.
Since re-opening our parks back in May, our parks have welcomed over 800,000 visitors and are feeling greater strain now than ever before. In order to ensure that we can continue to protect, connect, and inspire with nature, our parks could use a little TLC. Funds donated will help us to plant more trees and native species that have been disturbed by increased foot traffic and to rejuvenate and care for our trails.
This #GivingTuesday show your support and please consider donating to our local Give to Nature campaign and help us reach our goal of $10,000 to plant 1,000 trees. We also urge you to share this post with your friends, family and other followers.
