Evergreen Cultural Centre

From January 22, 2017 to February 19, 2017, we will be hosting our 20th Annual Emerging Talent exhibition.

Since the first presentation in 1998, the Art Gallery at Evergreen has featured an impressive selection of two- and three-dimensional artwork produced by hundreds of senior art students from secondary schools throughout School District 43. This anniversary exhibition promises once again to delight and inspire with its breadth and diversity of artistic achievement.

This exhibition has given countless students the opportunity to experience exhibiting their art for the first time. A participant in Emerging Talent 19, Olivia says the opportunity gives her confidence to exhibit more as she builds her portfolio to apply for Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Like any professional exhibition, Emerging Talent 20 will require marketing, installation, staff hours, and an opening reception. Participants pay no fee to have their work included in the exhibit, leaving Evergreen Cultural Centre to cover all costs. As a gallery with no entrance fee, we're turning to our community to help make this exhibition a successful and memorable start to these students' careers.

On November 29, we’re inviting you to support and encourage youth artists by contributing to our goal of $1000.

Give a gift of $25, $50, or $100 to have an impact on the careers of burgeoning artists in our community.

A shared vision of the City of Coquitlam, the Tri-City arts community, private business and senior government, Evergreen Cultural Centre opened its doors October 1996. In 2016, it continues to draw audiences and arts patrons from both the Tri-Cities and across Greater Vancouver.
