Nova Scotia Gives More

Easter Seals Nova Scotia

On Giving Tuesday Easter Seals Nova Scotia is GIVING BACK!

This year we want to help you find the perfect gift for the hard to buy for person on your list. No need to brave the crowds at the mall. You don't have to worry about the right size or color. This year, consider a donation to Easter Seals Nova Scotia, in support of one of the many programs we offer for individuals with disabilities. Your gift could aid in the purchase of items needed for mobility aides or equipment, recreational supports for our inclusive sports program or our fully-accessible and barrier-free summer camp; Camp Tidnish. Your donation will make a great holiday gift, while supporting Nova Scotians with disabilities.

This year we are asking Canadians to help us collect 365 #UNSTOPPABLE TM stories by inviting you to "share and post” a story of yourselves or someone you know who has defied negative stereotypes of persons living with disabilities.
Starting on December 3rd - the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Easter Seals Canada will begin sharing the best and most inspiring stories they receive: one story a day for the next 365 days to highlight the fact that accessibility is an everyday issue which affects everyone.
While on the website, folks are encouraged to also consider other means of supporting Easter Seals, including making a donation and taking advantage of the "Matching gift" opportunity to double the impact of their contribution.
So, what is Giving Tuesday? On November 27th charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes, and think about others. This is a Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. This year's theme is Give the Gift of Giving! We know that Nova Scotians are good people who want to give back to their communities. Giving back can take many forms, including donations, sponsorship and volunteerism. Thank you to those who continue to GIVE throughout the year by finding ways to support Easter Seals Nova Scotia.

Easter Seals Nova Scotia is a not-for-profit organization and registered charity based in Dartmouth. We advocate for a barrier-free Nova Scotia and provide top-quality services promoting mobility, inclusion and independence for Nova Scotians with disabilities. We have served Nova Scotians with disabilities for several decades. Our office is in the HRM, although we help children, youth, and adults from Yarmouth to Cape Breton.

Consider making a donation to us at the link below or volunteering your time! For more information, contact Michelle MacMullin at or (902) 453-6000 x 228.
