Youth Employment Services

Youth Employment Services Manitoba provides free employment assistance and service navigation assistance to hundreds of youth (16-29) in Manitoba. Our services include things like free training programs, assistance in applying to post-secondary programs and social assistance, resume and cover letter help, interview skills, and support in career planning. We also provide free access to computers and Wi-Fi and low-fee printing. Many of our clients are dealing with generational trauma, poverty, mental health issues, or have spent time in Child and Family Services, and YES provides a vital source of support and guidance. We also work with employers, government bodies, and other organizations that can help our clients in their journey to self-sufficiency, independence, and confidence.

Giving Tuesday donations will help us to continue providing free services to our clients - they may cover the cost of providing first aid training or a food handling class, or they may purchase paper for printing resumes. They may fund computer upgrades (we currently have 30 computers over 10 years old and one supercomputer preventing them from total obsolescence). We are a small organization with tight funding, so every dollar makes a big impact on the quantity and quality of services we are able to provide.
