Giving Tuesday Waterloo Region

Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery

Of the many things we do at KWAG, inspiring our young people is among the most important. All year round, we provide a welcoming space for artistic exploration in our classes and camps, encourage self-determination and free expression in our Youth Council, and celebrate the accomplishments of future artists from across Waterloo Region in our annual student exhibition, Expressions.

KWAG inspires young minds by:

·Providing a space for young people to explore and showcase their creativity
·Introducing young people to professional artists making extraordinary things
·Nurturing a love of art that will last for a lifetime

Our youngest participants learn to see the world through eyes other than their own, witness creativity elevated and respected as a meaningful way to engage with challenging issues – and through their own art, propose imaginative ways to solve the most urgent issues of their time, from climate change and social inequality. Through art, our young people are learning to enter tomorrow with hope, ingenuity and courage to see things differently.

From these seeds springs tomorrow – surely something worth caring for.

This holiday season, we are calling on you to create even more opportunities for young people to reach their full creative potential with a charitable donation. Your gift, no matter what amount, sparks new ideas and empowers young people to imagine a brighter tomorrow.

·         $25 provides art materials for children to learn creative skills during school visits
·         $100 provides a hands-on art workshop for ten children
·         $250 enables a professional artist to provide mentorship for local youth
