Almaguin Adult Learning Centre

Adults with low literacy are among the most vulnerable Canadians. Literacy is a foundational skill, needed to succeed in skills training and to gain employment. It is a pathway to equity and accessibility, impacting all Canadians both at an individual and broader societal level. East Parry Sound Literacy Council provides services for over 100 local learners annually from the Almaguin area, with locations in South River, Burk’s Falls, and Powassan. We are achieving amazing results, with learners attaining their Grade 12, as well as gaining the skills they need to find employment and/or to continue on to higher education.
