Black Gold Health Foundation

Black Gold Health Foundation, in support of health care services at Leduc Community Hospital, realizes the importance of providing for the increasing demands of our medical services and stay abreast of modern technologies.
I am sure you can recognize and understand the importance of health care and the valuable role it plays in the quality of life for your family and the community as a whole.  We often take for granted that these services will be readily available when we need them.
DID YOU KNOW?  Leduc Community Hospital serves as the first ‘Port of Call’ when it comes to health care services and medical emergencies for the greater County of Leduc including Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, New Serepta, Thorsby, as well as Leduc & Nisku Industrial Parks and Edmonton International Airport.
A CT Scanner is essential for rapid and accurate diagnosis and is particularly important for emergency patients and those requiring surgery.  A CT Scanner provides 3-D images of parts of the body that could otherwise not be seen, especially soft tissues like brain, liver, kidneys, etc. This tool is invaluable when diagnosing brain and spinal injuries plus crucial for timely diagnosis of cardiac and stroke victims.
April 15, 2015 the Foundation announced that it will take on a major campaign to raise the money required for a CT Scanner at Leduc Community Hospital.  This campaign will be reaching out to the community to help raise $1.25 million to cover the purchase and installation of the machine.
