Black Theatre Workshop

Black Theatre Workshop's Artist Mentorship Program is participating in Giving Tuesday, a one day global movement for giving and volunteering that opens the giving season. This year on the heels of Giving Tuesday we are launching our Show the Love campaign, that will run from December 1-15, to raise funds for our Artist Mentorship Program's Annual Industry Showcase

AMP is in its 8th year of offering professional mentorship to underrepresented emerging theatre artists. In that time, AMP has mentored over 90 emerging artists, a vast majority of which are from BIPOC communities.  We have also worked in partnership with local Montreal theatres to offer professional opportunities to our ensemble.

Each season consists of 7 months of weekly discussions and workshops, culminating in our annual Industry Showcase, where we invite VIP guests to connect with the AMP ensemble. Due to the pandemic, showcasing our talented artists this year will take more funds than ever before.

Your participation in this campaign will undoubtedly go a long way in connecting our ensemble to the national theatre landscape, while providing them with an opportunity to express and share themselves artistically. We are calling upon our community of followers to support us by donating and aiding us to reach our goal of $5000.
By donating to AMP you are investing in the future of Canadian theatre.

Thank you.
