Boys & Girls Clubs of South Coast BC

Hi There!

When we provide help to a family through Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC, it is actually two gifts: the help itself, and the gift of dignity.
Families know that we aren’t going to judge them, and that we aren’t going to insist that they go through the humiliating exercise of proving that they are, in fact, poor enough to need the help we are offering. We believe them…and we believe in them.

Whether that support gives a kid the opportunity to come to a neighbourhood Club or go to our summer wilderness camp in Howe Sound, our work with kids builds their confidence, helps them make friends and find lifelong mentors, make healthy habits like being active and eating well, develop leadership skills, and increase the likelihood that they will finish school.

This GivingTuesday, I challenge you to consider the possibilities when we choose to live as a community instead of just in a community. I invite you to join us to give dignity and elevate the 12,500 kids and families we work with every year by making a gift in their honour.
