Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador

There’s no doubt - technology has shaped the world we live in. It connects us, entertains us, inspires us and takes us places we never could have imagined.

Technology is everywhere, but it’s not the same for everyone. For most of us, the latest gadgets make our lives more interesting.  But, for persons with disabilities who often face barriers and challenges in the world, technology can do far more than that.

There are technologies that break through those barriers, enriching lives - changing lives.

Communication technology connects kids to the bigger world; mobility technology allows them greater access to that world; and lift technology helps move them through the everyday routines of life.

Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador provides assistance through technology at Husky Energy Easter Seals House, at our camp, and through Linda's Equipment Crossing (Equipment Exchange Program).

Launching on #GivingTuesday and running though this holiday season, (December 1-31), we are reaching out to the people of our community to participate and help raise the funds to support technology related to our programs and services.

The goal of Easter Seals organizations across Canada through this campaign is $250,000.  If we all do our part—whatever that might be—we will be closer to realizing that goal.
