Giving Tuesday Waterloo Region

Green Light Arts

Founded in 2014 by Matt White and Carin Lowerison, Green Light Arts is a not-for-profit theatre company in Waterloo Region delivering bold, edgy, contemporary, thought-provoking theatre. Along with theatrical productions, we run empowering arts education programming and outreach initiatives aimed at meaningful community exchange. We believe that theatre is the start of a conversation that can lead to positive social change within our community about global issues. We believe that nurturing collaboration, enhancing confidence and emboldening creativity in people makes the world a better place and we use theatre to do it.

We have produced and/or presented 15 theatrical projects in Waterloo Region with 6 more theatrical projects rolling out for our 2018-19 Season and 5th Anniversary. This year, our ambitious season includes working in-association with Tarragon Theatre on the World Premiere in Toronto and Kitchener run of Guarded Girls, a new play we commissioned and helped develop by Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman and a new contemporary play adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters which will feature AI and eventually place a robot on stage in an acting role.
