Giving Tuesday Waterloo Region

Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region

From hammering to hospitality, we are celebrating the many ways to give this season! In Waterloo Region, 1 in 4 households lack a decent, affordable place to live making them at risk of falling into a cycle of poverty. Thanks to community members like you, Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region can continue to build affordable homes for local, low-income families. Thank you!

“Having a home means I have a place for my family to grow and make memories,” April, Future Habitat Homeowner

As you make memories with the people you hold close to your heart, I ask that you also take a moment to think of people like April, who dreams of building a better life for her family, in a place to call home.

Did you know there are many ways to help Habitat Waterloo Region give families a hand up? Here are just a few suggestions:

1) Volunteer! At the ReStore or at the build site. Did you know 98% of our homes are built with volunteer labour? Volunteers are at the heart of our success, and we have many roles to fit your skills and interests.

2) Shop! Visit our Cambridge and Waterloo ReStores to find affordable new and gently used home improvement materials. Everything in your local ReStore has been donated by community members and local businesses. ReStores cover 100% of our administrative costs meaning every donated dollar goes directly to our build program.

3) Donate! Every dollar counts, and helps families in Waterloo Region (your neighbours!) achieve their dream of homeowership.
