HopeShares Community Development Association

Through our partner organization Seed of Hope South Africa, we offer a two-level practical sewing course covering basic and intermediate sewing skills where members of the community meet, learn to sew and create handicrafts. Participants learn to make a variety of products that can be sold to earn income.

The target participants are unemployed women, many of whom may be caring for orphaned or abandoned children, or are affected by HIV/AIDS. This opportunity to obtain training in a specific skill will benefit these women and add to their employability as well as their confidence.

This community development program costs $8,000 CDN a year. Help us raise the needed funds to allow the women of Bhekulwandle, South Africa to continue to learn the skills they need to make a living and in turn care for their families.
