This Christmas, you can give a gift to a Syrian refugee child from the STEP program.  Imagine the joy these children will experience when they receive your gift, and the hope it will bring their families!

With our trusted partners in Beirut who will pick out and deliver a locally sourced gift for each child, each STEP student's family will be contacted and supported in many important ways.

Have you ever moved to a new community and on your first day of class, you find out you’re way behind everyone else?

That is the experience of Syrian refugee boys and girls in Lebanon; they need assistance as they recover from the war and catch up academically.  So, our partner, the Beirut Nazarene Church, uses a local school facility in the evenings, with 100 eager students currently enrolled in our Syrian Transition Education (STEP) Program.
You can imagine how happy the children and their parents are to have the children able to resume their education!

In addition to Covid-19, the country of Lebanon has been facing a severe financial crisis, with a very high unemployment rate for its citizens and a dollar that has lost 80% of its value.  Consequently, refugees have an even harder time finding jobs, and the work they do find is often day labour, for cash, at a very low rate of pay.

It’s such a struggle for everyone to put food on their tables that a Christmas gift isn’t even something the families can hope for.

Imagine the joy these children will experience when they receive your gift, and the hope it will bring their families!
