Multiple Births Canada

Last year Multiple Births Canada appealed to you to support our new First Moments Ultrasound Project. With your support during Giving Tuesday 2017 and additional fundraising during the year, we created a bilingual poster designed specifically for placement in Canada’s ultrasound clinics. In October 2017, we were able to hand out enough posters to cover over 1,000 clinics to our chapter volunteers! Our members have since then been busy in their communities delivering the posters to their area ultrasound clinics, researching and distributing to clinics across the country.

MOVING FORWARD…

MBC's mission, first and foremost, is to improve the quality of life for multiple birth individuals and their families in Canada and we do that through our various programs and projects. This year, we’d like you to consider giving to one of the 4 following areas:

Purple Butterfly Loss project
This October, we introduced this important new program to support multiple births families who have experienced loss. The launch of the Purple Butterfly Loss Project was only the beginning. Help us move this project into every hospital across Canada including families outside chapter areas and those in more isolated communities.
Giving Tuesday goal: $1000

Ultrasound Clinic Poster project
While we’ve been busy this past year on this project, we’re not quite over the finish line. Help us with the last mile to get posters out to the last remaining ultrasound clinics.
Giving Tuesday goal: $500

Website and Branding Update project
As our digital home and the first impression many people have of our organization, MBC’s website, logo and brand colours are due for an update. Help us update them to reflect the vibrant community of families that MBC serves.
Giving Tuesday goal: $500

General Support Programs
MBC manages several Peer Support Groups to connect families with similar experiences together. This may include parents struggling with breastfeeding multiple babies at the same time, or coping with the medical issues that sometime accompany premature babies (of which many twins, triplets and higher order multiple birth babies are), or who might want to connect with other francophone multiple birth families. We also have many advisory resources which provide information for families, professionals and educators on matters important to multiple birth families. Help us update, translate and develop our support programs and resources.
Giving Tuesday goal: $750

Whether you can give a lot or a little, every contribution helps!

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
