Samaritan's Purse Canada

“Now we have something to add to our diet besides rice. We have fruit, vegetables, eggs, chicken. We’ve become healthier and happier. Samaritan’s Purse has taught us how to manage what we make and work as a family." - Antonio (Bolivia)

With one in nine people worldwide suffering from malnutrition, hands-on training in basic farming can help people transform the land on which they live into sustainable sources of food for their family and community.

A small flock of chickens can produce hundreds of eggs each year, supplying a family with an ongoing source of nutrition. With the help of Samaritan’s Purse, families will learn how to raise their chickens and be equipped to start their own business selling eggs in their community. The gift of a goat or cow enables impoverished people to earn additional income to support their families, and fresh milk will help keep them healthy. A home garden, along with seeds, tools, and training, will help families produce nutritional food.

This Giving Tuesday, give the gift of sustainable food through agriculture training, resources, gardens, and livestock.
