The SHARP Foundation

Giving Tuesday and World AIDS Day are both on December 1st, 2015. It is a day we will be remembering the many people we supported and lost due to AIDS but also celebrate the lives of the people we serve. For the past 25 years the SHARP Foundation has been providing homes and support for Calgary's most vulnerable persons living with HIV. Unfortunately, the stigma of living with HIV still exists which makes it difficult for the people we serve to cope alone. Today we have programs to help people with much more than HIV; they are also confronted with homelessness, mental health, addictions, brain injury, histories of abuse/trauma, poverty and other chronic diseases/infections (ex. hepatitis C, diabetes, cancers, lung infections).

Our programs are based on a harm reduction model and are nationally-recognized. We currently have over 30 homeless or unstably housed people waiting to access our services. Please help us to continue to help those in need.
