Countless acts of generosity are taking place as Canadians unite against the threat of COVID-19. On May 5 we want to amplify those generous acts and the ongoing needs of our communities. Join us.

#VanGives is a civic movement participating in the global #GivingTuesday initiative. We share inspiring stories + encourage generosity in our local communities.

AND now, more than ever we are calling on Vancouverites to continue to unite and participate in #GivingTuesdayNOW

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. We invite all of Vancouver, and British Columbia, to join us in demonstrating the power of kindness, courage and generosity.

Ways for Vancouver to get involved:
  1. Make some noise for our frontline workers. Let's make May 5th at 7pm the loudest one yet. Share your gratitude and tag #Vangives
  2. Donate to your favourite cause, perform an act of kindness, or share a story that’s inspired you during the COVID-19 pandemic and tag #Vangives
  3. Donate to Fight Food Insecurity Now - more residents are food insecure than ever before. Find your favourite cause responding to hunger and make a gift.

Share, tag + trend with us here:
