We will be highlighting the education of girls in Africa. In one day, we can multiply resources that will go toward Keeping Girls in School thus reducing their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.

"Uneducated girls are more at risk to become marginalized, vulnerable to exploitation and more likely to contract HIV/AIDS; which spreads twice as quickly among uneducated girls" - UNICEF Millennium Goals Report

Living Hope, the arm of Watoto that restores dignity to vulnerable women, has launched a program called ‘Keep A Girl In School’ that aims to reduce the primary school drop-out rate and increase primary school exam completion among adolescent girls through the provision of sanitary towels and hygiene supplies, and character and life skills development.

Each school in Uganda costs approximately $10,000 to support. When girls stay in school it has the potential to change the course of Africa.  An educated girl will earn up to 25% more per year and reinvest 90% in her family after graduation. Her children will be 40% more likely to live past the age of 5 and she will invest in their education. [Camfed Impact Report]

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help support 1 school in Northern Uganda. This means that we can multiply critical resources that will help keep girls in School.

Every little bit helps!
